The golf course ia a unique 9-hole N.G.U rated course with rolling kikuyu fairways and bayview greens, located on a working farm.

The Royal Durban golf course is a links type, gold ranked, 18-hole course. It is a popular, flat course with a lovely club house, located in the middle of the Greyville horseracing track.

The Club was established in 1892 as the Durban Golf Club, and was granted “Royal” status in April 1932 following a visit and a round of golf from the then Prince of Wales in 1925. The course was rebuilt in 1932 and the layout was designed by Bob Grimsdell.

The prevailing winds add an entirely new dimension to the course, making it one of South Africa’s most testing layouts.

Directions to the Wild Coast Sun Hotel & Country Club is take the N2 going south from Durban. Pass Ramsgate, Southbroom, San Lameer and Port Edward. Cross the Mtamvuma River Bridge and the Wild Coast Sun entrance is on the left. Follow the signs to the clubhouse.
