Uniondale is well known for its ghost, and is a great place to spend a few days travelling and enjoying the Klein Karoo scenery. It is located only an hour away from George, and an hour and a half from Plettenberg Bay and Knysna over the breathtaking Prince Alfred Pass. Uniondale lies next to the Langkloof and is predominantly a sheep, goat, seed and apple farming community.

Uniondale Golf Club is a 9-hole course located just outside Uniondale, with a practice bunker, putting green and chipping green. Directions to the Uniondale Golf Club, is travel from George to Oudtshoorn on the N12, then turn onto the N9 to Uniondale. The golf course is located 3km outside the town of Uniondale on the left hand side of the road towards Willowmore.

Stilbaai Golf Club was founded in April 1986, and the course was officially opened on the 17th of December 1987. Both the design and construction of the course were undertaken by club members. The management of the club strives to present a well-maintained course that will be thoroughly enjoyed by all golfers regardless of their handicap.

Stilbaai Golf Club is a 9-hole course with 17 different tees, a practice and chipping green, as well as a practice bunker and driving range. The Pro Shop  stocks a fine line of clothing at reasonable prices, and the Clubhouse is available for small functions and seminars.

The Simola Golf Course is a Jack Nicklaus signature course, and remains one of South Africa’s leading golf courses. It is a fun, yet challenging championship course, set in stunning surrounds, with a lack of wind due to the fact that it lies below high ridges. All the holes provide players with amazing views of the Knysna Lagoon, the Heads, or the Knysna River.

Directions to the Simola Golf & Country Estate, is take the N2 from George following Lagoon into Knysna, turn left into Old Cape Road and travel for approximately 6 km up the hill to Simola.

Riversdale Golf Club has an intimate and friendly atmosphere, and boasts a 9-hole, 18 tee golf course, which has been rated one of the most scenic in South Africa. Riversdale is a country town located on the N2 highway between the Langeberg mountain range and the sea, and within easy reach of seaside towns such as Still Bay and Witsand.
