The Summerfield Golf Club is a 9-hole golf course with a pro shop and driving range, and it is located in Grootvlei.

Directions to the Summerfield Golf Club, is travel south from Johannesburg on the N3, pass through the De Hoek Plaza tollgate. After about 20km take the Grootvlei off-ramp and turn left. Travel for about 7km and the golf club will be on the right.

The SAPS Mechanical School Golf Club was developed in 1964 by the SA Police for their employees, but now it is an open-for-all club. It is a short and flat course with no par 5′s, but challenging with enough par 3′s.

Directions to the SAPS Mechanical School Golf Club is travel on the N2 highway towards Witbank, and take the Tom Jones/Bunyan Street off-ramp and drive in a northerly direction past the Falls Shopping Centre and then turn right into Hospital Road. At the SAPS Logistical College turn left and follow the road until you find the clubhouse on the right.

Attractions in and around Zastron:

• Anglo-Boer War Monument – in front of the town’s Dutch Reformed Church.
• Cable Car – built in 1957 by Charles Moss, it was used as a way of entering the mountain kingdom of Lesotho.
• Eeufeeskloof Dam – recreation facilities on this well-equipped resort west of the town.
• Glen Rosa Farm – a cave on the farm features a 5m-high, perfectly-preserved polychrome San Frieze. It is one of the worlds most important pieces of historical artwork.
• Hippopotamus Cave – named for the predominance of hippo drawings in its San art, including evidence of live of the area’s early inhabitants, including pots shards, cooking implements and other relics.
• Mayaputi Nature Reserve – angling, bird & game watching, hiking, horseback riding, hunting, river rafting, 4×4 routes.
• Vechtkop – the 2 072m peak and historic battlesite that dominates Zastron’s eastern horizon.

The Zastron Golf Club is a 9-hole course that is only open on Wednesdays and Saturdays, and visitors are welcome. Directions to Zastron Golf Club is travel  from Johannesburg/Cape Town on the N1 towards Bloemfontein. At Bloemfontein turn onto the R702 and go via Dewetsdorp and Wepener to Zastron. Once in the town of Zastron drive through the town and go out of town crossing a railway line and turn right onto a gravel road and the golf course is located straight ahead.

Directions to the Whites Golf Club is travel on the N1 from Bloemfontein towards Kroonstad. At Ventersdorp turn off to Hennenman (about 18km). In Hennenman take road to Virginia, and find the golf club about 5km outside Hennenman on the right.
