Nigel Golf Club is an 18-hole course with a driving range and putting green, and is located between Springs and Nigel.

Directions to Nigel Golf Club is travel from Johannesburg on the N3 and then take the N17 to Springs. Take the turn-off for Nigel (R51), follow this road and after you cross Fred Wegener, the course is on your left and right, turn right to the entrance of the golf club.

Viljoenskroon town is located next to the R76 Road within the maize triangle, and bordering the Vaal Triangle Industrial Complex. It is characterized by its stud farming in the district and several huge grain silos, making it one of the biggest grain storage centres in South Africa.  Viljoenskroon is named after the original farm owner, JJ Viljoen, and his horse Kroon.

Viljoenskroon Golf Club is a 9-hole course located in Voortrekker street, and it is not open on Mondays. Directions to the Viljoenskroon Golf Club, is take the N1 from Johannesburg to Bloemfontein, and at Parys take the Viljoenskroon Road off-ramp and turn right. Continue for about 56km passing Potchefstroom, until you enter the town of Viljoenskroon. The golf club is located on the left of the main raod, near the Sports Centre.

The Maritim Hotel Mauritius hosts a 9-hole, Par 29 golf course designed by Graham Marsh and the Golf Pro. Each hole on the course can be played from two different tees and there is a driving range and putting green available to hone your skills when you are not on the fairways. The Golf Pro is available for individual lessons, beginners and advanced courses, there is no green fees for residents, and clubs can be hired.

The Marievale Bird Sanctuary is a large floodplain, one of several very important bird areas in South Africa, and is a prime birding spot. It is a sanctuary of about 10 square kilometres that attracts and supports up to 65 different waterbird species and over 3500 birds, especially during summer months when migratory birds join the already large numbers of goliath heron, great white heron, black egret, fulvous duck and South Africa shelduck.

The Engineers Golf Club is a well maintained golf course with some challenging holes, with a pro shop and driving range, located on the Military Base, Marievale.

Directions to Engineers Golf Club, is to take the N17 to Springs. Take the Wit Road off-ramp, turn left and carry on straight. Turn left at the advertising boards and drive straight into the golf club. The club is located between Springs and Nigel.
