The town of Plettenberg Bay is located on the Southern tip of the African coast and is part of the popular Garden Route. It is 240km to the West of the Port Elizabeth, and 110km to the East of George. The indigenous flora attracts a variety of bird life like the large, colourful Knysna Loerie, and small animals like antelope and bush pig. The site has also become popular with the local bird-watching club.

Plettenberg Bay Golf Course is a magnificent 18-hole layout in a beautiful  setting. Mossel Bay Golf Course is an 18-hole links course that was founded in 1905, moved and redeveloped, and has recently been remodeled and upgraded. It is a pleasant course with terrain which is hilly, densely vegetated and undulating, in good condition and mostly green all year round. The climate in this area is Mediterranean with prevailing south easterly winds in summer and north westerly winds in winter. The 19th hole has been voted as one of the top 10 most beautiful views in South Africa.
