The Worcester Golf Club is located at the start of the Klein Karoo in the Western Cape, about an hour’s drive from Cape Town en route to Oudtshoorn and the Garden Route. It is a championship course located in the foothills of the Brandwacht Mountains with a picturesque view of Worcester and the Breede River Valley, with indigenous trees, dams and watercourses. It is a challenging course, which rewards daring shots but can severely punish bad ones.

During the early 1990’s Humansdorp Golf Club had to relocate, to its present location. This course was designed by, and opened in 1993, by Gary Player. Changes is taking place with the existing 9 holes which will be incorporated into a Phil Jacobs designed, 18-hole Championship Course, to form part of the Zwartenbosch Golf and Lifestyle Estate. In the meantime this 9-hole course is a favourite amongst all the golfers in the area for it’s perfect greens, lush fairways and fantastic views from their new temporary clubhouse.

The 9-hole Humansdorp Golf Course will be incorporated into an 18-hole Championship Golf Course to form part of the Zwartenbosch Golf and Lifestyle Estate.

Having had his home on the Blair Atholl Estate for almost 25 years, Gary Player is obviously passionate about the championship golf course.
