The Zimbali Golf Club is an 18-hole course that has developed the reputation of a memorable course with charisma and challenge, and offers irresistible ocean and forest views, exceptional water and wetland features and a natural setting.

International golf course designer and former British and South African PGA champion, Tom Weiskopf, had to integrate a “cart only” course into a property with dramatic elevation changes, varying eco-systems and substantial residential sections. The entrance of the modern, colonial-styled clubhouse is dominated with the remains of a ruined farmhouse framed around an ageing wild fig tree.

Windsor Park Municipal Golf Club is a popular, inexpensive course, with more than 80,000 rounds played on it annually. It is a flat, woodland, 18-hole course, very easily located a few minutes north of Durban city centre on NMR Avenue, turning left onto Windsor just before the Umgeni river. Tuition is available and equipment can be hired.

Windsor Park is a hugely appealing course to play, with a heavily treed layout. It is a very attractive golf course planted with enough evergreens to avoid ever looking bleak, even in autumn.

Umhlali Country Club is located next to Ballito Bay, only 15 minutes North of Umhlanga Rocks, and it is a picturesque, silver ranked, 18-hole golf course. The course provides sweeping fairways, exotic palm trees and seven magnificent water holes. It is designed to test the skills of the more competitive golfer, and also caters for the longer handicappers playing off the front markers.

Directions to the Umhlali Country Club, is travel on the (N2) north-coast highway and take the 210 exit to Ballito, turn inland and drive 1,5km and the golf club is on the left opposite Shortens Country House. The golf club is clearly signed from the highway.
