The Zimbali Golf Club is an 18-hole course that has developed the reputation of a memorable course with charisma and challenge, and offers irresistible ocean and forest views, exceptional water and wetland features and a natural setting.
International golf course designer and former British and South African PGA champion, Tom Weiskopf, had to integrate a “cart only” course into a property with dramatic elevation changes, varying eco-systems and substantial residential sections. The entrance of the modern, colonial-styled clubhouse is dominated with the remains of a ruined farmhouse framed around an ageing wild fig tree.

The Simola Golf Course is a Jack Nicklaus signature course, and remains one of South Africa’s leading golf courses. It is a fun, yet challenging championship course, set in stunning surrounds, with a lack of wind due to the fact that it lies below high ridges. All the holes provide players with amazing views of the Knysna Lagoon, the Heads, or the Knysna River.
Directions to the Simola Golf & Country Estate, is take the N2 from George following Lagoon into Knysna, turn left into Old Cape Road and travel for approximately 6 km up the hill to Simola.
